My life as a JC kid

Hello everyone.
My life in JC has come to an end a month ago.
To be honest, I'm kinda missing the people there.
But no, I seriously don't want to go through that kind of life ever again.
I'm going to go through really in detail what has happened in 2012.
Most of the things I'm going to say will be my life as a JC2.

Going to JC, the most significant thing that have changed a lot is the way I communicate.
I'm careful of what I say.
Because people here can't take jokes as much as people from XMS.
People here judge.
I've turned into someone who cares about dignity.
Yeah shit hole.
I care about how people view me as a person.
That's why I tone down.
That's why I become less guai lan.
And that's why I become less funny.
Because I know if I say a joke which is not funny, everyone will be like "fag".
I don't even dare to joke.
But this year, I really wanted to change.
I want to stop all this crap.
I want to be myself.
But no, there's no opportunity at all.
The only small chance that I can be myself is when I'm with the 11S103 guys.
But still, there's this barrier I have with everyone in this school.
I can't open up.
Which is the reason why I'm becoming weirder and weirder each day.
Too many things in my head.

This was a blog post I made in 30 January.
I remembered the only way I survived in the first few months of school was climbing.
I really can't stand school and every time on tuesday / thursday , I will look at the time and really hope the time passes quicker.

On a happier note, Orientation 2012 was fun.
Got to be A2's OGL together with Celestine and Deon.
It was..... KINDA WEIRD MIX.
And some more the people in A2 are very different from us.
Or at least very different from me.
But well, it was quite okay in the end.
Really appreciate how my OGMs appreciate me as their leader.
Especially Pauline.
Hahaha.

So after orientation, things start to get a bit quicker.
School really sucked that bad.
Can't carry myself to every lecture / tutorial.
Always going to the toilet and canteen to buy food during lecture.
Cause what I felt that time was "Why the fuck am I studying all this shit when I can lead a happier life outside?"
And that's probably the cause for everyday's gloominess in school.

AND THIS KINDA HAPPENED....

Like wtf.

Since school was so boring everyday, things like this really make me go from -.- to o.o 

There was this awesome period of time where I would keep cycling out of school with Eugene to buy macs from Elias Mall.

That was really something I looked forward to every day.

UNTIL SOMEONE STOLE MY BIKE.

Oh and either that, we will spend our breaks at 7 11 across the road.

That was fun too.

Until we get caught by the Vice Principal, saying that it's so dangerous to cross the road and stuff.

Hahaha the colosseum period was really awesome.
Spent time with my 9th Atlas House Comm and stressing out on what to do.
TOGETHER WITH STUDIES.
That was probably why I screwed up mid years.
And of course my laziness.
But I think it was really worth the time.
But you know, CHEER LEADING.
The bondedness just dies off in a month or so.
Just like our old batch.
So sad man.
Hahaha.
But yeah, got to get close to a few juniors like Jin An, Chawit, Shaon.
OH and not forgetting that's how the 9AHC got close to Matthew.
Hahaha.


AND YUP, NOTHING MUCH JUST DOTA EVERY NIGHT.
What's new?

After school going to the gym and meeting up with climbing friends.
Really take my mind off schoolwork.
And it'll probably come back when I'm at home.
THIS THE REASON WHY I NEVER DO TUTORIALS AND GET SCOLDED EVERYDAY BY TEACHERS.

Pictures aside, I could have said I really enjoyed and hated my life in JC.

Enjoyed all the stupid times spent together with my 11S103 guys.

It was really crazy.

It really made me feel like I'm in a fucking JUNIOR COLLEGE.

Where shit happens.

Comparing my life with all the other people in school.

I can say my life is top 5% in the cohort.

Results wise maybe bottom 5% LOL.

Nah just kidding, I'm not so dumb.

Maybe Abang will be below.

HAHAHA.

Changing clique in the start of 2012 wasn't something that happened in a day.

I was with Wilfred, Celestine, Audrey, Chai, Li Ying and Destin's group.

I don't know why but I kinda drifted from them.

Celestine wrote me a letter during my birthday and what she said kinda affected me.

She didn't write anything BIG but it really made me reflect on what kind of a person I am.

The sense of guilt.

Kinda.

Joining the 11S103 guys clique made me really crazy.

Doing things I haven't done before.

If I wasn't in the 11S103 clique, I will be so shameful to have these people as my classmates.

But when I'm inside, no, it's really different.

I swear everyone in school HATES us.

The teachers especially.

We met the Vice Principal and Principal countless times for discipline problems.

Like they're our friends already.

Then teachers scold us almost everyday, cause we don't do tutorials everyday.

Until they gave up.

And they kinda like just teach those people in the front two rows.

I guessed that work, because we started to panic about A levels.

All the funny laughing shit suddenly stops and everyone started studying real hard.

And in the end, I must say I really did my best for A levels and I also kinda enjoyed my life inside if not for the studying part.

And if I were to ask myself again, whether choosing JC was the right choice, I would say yes.

The attitude that I've put in for the last few months before A level really taught me things.

When it's time to be serious, be serious.

That's something I would take away from JC life.

And I really want to thank those people who have been my listening years.

It's kinda gay but lastly, I really want to thanks WILFRED for always being there for me, always reading my blog, always sharing things with me and always letting me share things with you.

This 2012 would be very different without you.

I would have no one to talk to about STARER.

HAHAHA.

Hahaha, this post was supposed to be emotional.

Like REALLY emotional.

But I guessed five and a half hour of sleep isn't enough for me to write a good post.

It will suck every climbing sessions if I only remembered how hard I fell INSTEAD of remembering how glorious ending a route is.
Cause I didn't finish quite a lot of routes.
And I felt weak.
LIKE EVERY WEEK.
Yet on the other hand, I finished my 2 weeks project.
It's like wow.
Seriously.
Gotta be more satisfied with myself, if not I will die grumpy.

ODAC

Odac people really never change.

I remembered making a post last time.

Saying that no matter how long we haven't meet up, when we meet up, it'll always be full of bullshit.

He never fails to make me laugh.

Freaking annoying but in all seriousness, there is no seriousness in his shit.

OKAY that aside, it's really nice catching up with all the ODAC people.

It's really been a long time since everyone came together.

But not EVERYONE was there.

I think it could have been more fun.

In the morning today, everyone left cept me and Mannan.

We decided that it was too early to leave.

So we stayed in the sea and lepak awhile.

Then when everyone left, went to bathe and then ate tuna breads for breakfast.

Couldn't finish so Mannan threw the bread on the floor.

LOL climbed alone today.
Okay maybe not alone, just not with kakis.

Yesterday was a good day with ODAC people.
It was kinda awkward cause I was the only guy there, other than Jonathan lim.
Then it got better at night where we just sat down and talk.
At some rooftop.

The starbucks chat was still the best.
They ask me about guys things and I answered everything truthfully.
And I've realised that guys and girls are REALLY VERY DIFFERENT.
Like totally different.
A small action may lead to some consequences which the opposite party don't even realise.
Then thoughts just moved back to the past.
Seems like I understand quite a bit from yesterday's talk.

Haven't been blogging for sometimes because I've been climbing consecutively last 2 days.
It's really tiring.

Just woke up today, with a really bad dream.
One of my childhood phobia.
Dolls.
Fuck man.
There was sadako and she could control those dolls.
And somehow, I knew that one of my friend is going to die.

It gaves me the creeps when I even googled "dolls"

I really can't remember much (not saying I want to remember) but this doll kills by decapitating with a knife.

So we aimlessly walked around for hours.

But today's climb was satisfying.
Starting to get my pinch back.
But kinda injured my knee again.

Even though I'm not taking part in competitions, it feels good to finish a route.
And everyone's face when you finally finished after doing so many times.

A sit start and then there was quite a big crowd, like 15 people?
Then I did I think 6 / 7 times, all damn close.
Then finally finished it.
So happy.
Then everyone smiled at me too.

Pulau Ubin

Went Ubin with Chin Yue, Leon and Shan Leong today.
Wooo.
It was quite fun.
Or rather it was damn fun.
It's been a long time since I go outdoors.
Feel so ORHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHyeahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh.
Yup kinda that feeling.
And boom it rained the moment we stepped into Ubin.
Fucking boss.
Okay I took a video of the start.
I swear the journey was back and fro Check Jawa was 10 times more exciting than this video.

Hahaha yup so walked to Chek Jawa.
Freaking far.
Especially when it's raining, walking on dirt path seemed even harder.
Cause of the rocks and sand.

But the atmosphere was still lively.

Went to chek jawa and then went down to the tides.
Spotted some crabs below.
Oh Chin Yue found a Durian on the floor on the way.
Freaking carried it all the way from near cookie monster to chek jawa.

And then Leon brought a SWISS ARMY KNIFE.
Don't know for what but we managed to open it.
Didn't get to take a picture of it.
But we got like 10 yellow delicious durian inside.

Yup the rain subsided. CLEAR SCENERIES.

Yup so headed back to Chek Jawa when it started raining.
Then freaking cold and wet throughout.
Made back to Jetty alive.
Hahaha went to the shoreline to look for PURPLE CLIMBER.

Hahaha but instead we found a lot of other crabs.
Flipped rocks and stuffs.
And found a lot of useless crabs.
Okay we found hermit crabs.

Yup, then keep falling down on the slippery rocks there.
Slipped and land on my hands.
And that means on all the freaking barnicles.

It was very fun.
Even though there was only 4 of us.

Went to chomps with Jun Wen and Kelvin last night.
Had some good dinner but had to wait freaking 40 minutes for the food.

Then Jun Wen had to leave early to send his friend off at the airport.
Then I accompanied Kelvin to buy his udders.
Yup so cycled home and then kinda dota all the way.
Until 2.30 or something Vincent called me and ask me whether I wanted to supper.
So went down to green to eat prata with him, Kenny and Ivan.

Yup so after that came my house downstairs to talk.
Talk until 4.30am then went back home.

Today is a WTF salim day.
First he asks us to meet him.
And then we all reached a bit later.
But it was reasonable.
Like 10 mins later than he is.
And he didn't appear for the whole outing.
2 HOURS.
With 40 miss calls or so.
It's crazy.
Ya but in the end eat with Kenny and Ivan.
Then Chong Yu came.
For AWHILE.
And then he went to work at the anaki records.

Then the rest of us went home.

I GOT SEASON PASS

Saw BOTAK HIA.

It was kinda a good climb yesterday.
Can do slightly harder routes already.
But my skin still damn pain and my left knee still hurts.
BUT OVERALL I'M GETTING MORE OKAY.
I think around 5 more sessions and I'm back on track.
And another 5 more sessions to get back to where I was last time.
So exciting.
Anyway, climbed with Zhi Wen and HE IS AS WEAK AS ME.
So happy that someone is like that too.
LOL I know it's not something to be happy but yeah, we both are happy that we have each other's accompany.

His is cause of Army.
Mine is cause of A levels.
Hahaha.

Anyway before he left, sat down to talk to him.

He told me about his current army life.
He says he hate it.
I don't know how I will treat Army like.
It seems far but some people like Salim and Kenny already going in in 2 or 3 days time.
Yup after he left, went to climb with Valerie and Min Jian.
Oh Elaine left early too.
So the three of us climbed.
I climbed until around 7+ then I go do PT.
Then talked to this guy who is in charge of taking pictures for boulder active 2012.
He made the video and I remembered liking it on facebook because it's one of the best video in SG that I've ever seen.
Yup so talk talk and then left at around 9.30.
Went to eat kway chay with MJ and then headed home.
DOTA with CYUE and DEON and slept at around 1+

Just woke up.

Thoughts

JUST WATCHED THE MOVIE MARS NEED MOM.

So touching.
Hahaha.
Makes me realised that I have been a really bad son.
I don't spend time with my parents.
I take them for granted.
Always not listening to what they've got to say.
There's really more to this world that we all live in.
What if 21 December was real?
What would I regret not doing.
I would definitely regret not taking care of my parents.
And instead chasing my dreams.
Come on, life is that short.
You'll never know what may happen tomorrow.
And I'm actually tearing while writing all this.
I feel guilty you know.
Always shouting at them.
I really need to change.
Please, be good to your parents wee pin.
They aren't going to be with you forever.

doing nothing lately

why is this holiday so boring.

My climbing attitude

Haven't been properly blogging these few days.

Too busy having fun.

Hahahaha.

Anyway been to climbing today.

Woke up early even though I was a little drunk from last night's drink at Kenny's house.

Celebrated his birthday.

Kinda.

Hahaha there was me, Ivan, Vincent, Salim and of course Kenny.

Yup played circle of death, bridge, dai di.

Drank a lot of red wine last night.

Damn sick.

Almost vomit at 5am + when I woke up.

But managed to sleep through it.

LOL.

Power of the brain, paralyzed body.

And that's how people feel as if a ghost was lying above the person when they sleep.

Okay got a little off track when I talk about dreams / sleep.

Hahaha cause I'm recently into lucid dreaming again.

Really hope can master the skills.

OKAY BACK TO TODAY.

Yup so went to climb.

Yay.

My left knee fucking annoying.

But this injury, was kinda an opener for me.

Honestly, I want to say I was a little competitive in the past.

And the fun of climbing isn't really there anymore as I keep wanting to improve myself.

To win competition and stuffs.

To prove to people that I'm good.

I don't want people to look down on me when I climb.

This left knee of mine has taught me that competition doesn't bring you happiness.

Okay maybe temporary happiness.

Like yay I won, I'm an inter man now.

But it doesn't give you that sense of achievement.

So what if I am an interman.

But I don't give in 100% when I do a route.

Like today, I just do this very simple move.

Like I did almost 10 times.

The move.

Everytime I do, I am .5 cm closer to the tile.

And I finally reached the tile after 10 attempts.

And that is enough to bring me happiness equal to when I finish a route.

My attitude to climbing has to change.

More focus and less giving up.

I still remembered last time doing a route for 6 weeks.

Yes, that is the kind of happiness I want from climbing.

That sense of euphoria.

Hahahaha.

Kinda want to thank Elaine for accompanying me today to climb easier routes.

Cause I can't possibly do all the hard routes.

Hahaha.

And on a side note, finally saw JOHN.

OMG.

SO long never see him.

He has became a lot stronger.

10 one arm pull up.

LOL.

Fucking cb.

And he was damn nice today.

He bought MC just to climb with us.

Excused from work.

But then we were leaving at 6+ 7.

So stayed a little longer just for him.

Until 8.45.

Then we went to eat together.

Me MJ and John.

Went to eat at Serangoon central.

Maybe I'll be working at the same place as John.

He's the chef while I'm the waiter.

Hahahaha.

Quite cool.

Shall consider that job.

And yeah, I'll probably be working.

But not so soon.

First day back to climbing

It isn't really that good.
Can't do shit.
Anything also cannot do.
Skin burn in 2 hours.
Mini flapper.
Cannot do more than 5 pull ups during PT.
And worst of all my left knee sucks.
But catching up with my friends was really good.
Felt so welcomed when I walk into the gym.
Mason welcomed me back.
Then fist bump yu kai, yong sheng and min jian.
Like some famous star.

But sadly, I'm like a weakling now.
Can't do shit.
Hopefully I have the perseverance to train back my left knee.
Then strength and techniques and endurance wise, I don't mind training everyday.

Yup so after that chomps, cycled back home and then bathed.

Not bad.

Okay so went to Kenny's house.

Today was not bad.

Then went to dota.
Then play play play until like 3+.
At first wanted to stay at home and play game.

So decided to follow 103 guys to play pool + lan at KSM.

Played lan with Michael and Yi Da at first.
Then later Tubs and Destin who were playing pool came in.
So we CS awhile and then Michael left.
The rest of us went to eat at B1.

Yup so after eating, went to get bubble tea.
Talk awhile and then went back home.

But last round won with Shan Leong.
